The brief
McCluskey Pottery needed the site to feel as considered as the work itself. The pieces are handmade, visual and personal, so the website had to sell without feeling pushy or generic.
The important routes were clear from the start: shop the collections, understand the story, see the making process, and find commissions, stockists and events.
What changed
The site uses product imagery, calm spacing and simple collection routes so visitors can browse quickly while still getting a feel for the makers behind the work.
Instead of treating the shop and story as separate things, the structure lets both support each other: the craft builds trust, and the shop gives interested visitors a clear next step.
The result
A more complete maker presence: ecommerce where it matters, a proper story for the brand, and clear routes for customers who want to buy, commission or find the pottery in person.
